Ibrahim manages Cimcorp’s spare parts warehouse in Germany and ensures the inventory is organized and ready to meet demand. He handles order processing and spare parts sourcing, working closely with suppliers and keeping an eye on cost-effectiveness and quality standards. The role has shaped him into a true problem solver. “It’s rewarding to know we are working with real challenges and contributing to our customers’ efficiency,” Ibrahim says.

Applying principles of economics to real-world issues

Ibrahim has always been fascinated by systems and policies that impact individuals, businesses, and the society. A BA degree in economics gave him a strong foundation in analytical thinking and insight into the global and local markets. “For my postgraduate degree, however, I pursued development management as I wanted to apply these principles to real-world challenges,” he shares.

At the start of his career, Ibrahim worked as a warehouse logistics team leader. The role gave him the necessary skillset for overseeing operations and ensuring timely and smooth flow of goods. Then followed a position as a shift manager that had him in charge of an entire warehouse operation. After that, his next step was to join Cimcorp in September 2023.

An urgent customer request came in, asking for certain spare parts that were crucial for avoiding significant operational downtime.

I worked on sorting and verifying the parts and their availability, one colleague managed the logistical arrangements, and another maintained constant communication with the client, providing updates and reassurance. By immediately coming together and coordinating our actions, we could avoid costly delays for the client.

Contributing to a safer and more efficient workplace

Ibrahim’s proudest achievements at Cimcorp are his contributions towards streamlining processes and improving efficiency. He appreciates the strong relationships he’s been able to build with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders. “Each connection plays a part in effective collaboration and helps create a work environment where every one of us can thrive.” He’s also pleased with the personal growth he’s experienced.

One of Ibrahim’s many passions is helping others – both in the workplace and outside. On top of being the safety officer in Cimcorp’s German office, he volunteers as an Event Medic, attending events and supporting people in medical emergencies. After work, he enjoys playing football. “I’m part of a local team that trains every Wednesday and Friday. On Sundays we play matches,” he shares.
