Building bridges and interpreting emotions

Antti, our Research & Development (R&D) Project Manager, keeps an eye on the big picture of development projects and emphasizes the importance of cooperation with other individuals. He is easily approachable and flexible, a person who finds work-life balance through being outdoors and hunting with dogs. With his feet firmly on the ground and customer-centricity in mind, Antti strives to understand customers’ perceptions and the values behind their decision making.

Antti works in Cimcorp’s Solutions & Technology department, where he leads various software development projects. His current role is strongly tied to the understanding of overall systems.

I am an interpreter of emotions and build bridges between different departments and technologies. It is easy for me to discuss with different parties, find alternatives and create a solid basis for cooperation. This work is based on people, and I listen carefully to understand them. I make sure everyone knows their role and that the right people do the right things.

Passion for mechanics and software

At the beginning of his career, Antti worked in aircraft maintenance in the aviation industry. He has a strong background in mechanics and is familiar with a vast and diverse range of systems. Since he was a little boy, he has wanted to know how different machines are built and function.

Later in his career, Antti studied automation engineering. He has been a Cimcorper since 2022 but he is a returnee – he worked with Cimcorp from 2016 to 2020. Back then, his passion for software was born. During his years away, Antti experienced a few different companies, but ended up coming back to Cimcorp.

My passion for physical equipment, mechanics and software brought me back to Cimcorp. I value the ‘globally local’ aspect of this company, which enables us to have face-to-face interaction while providing the possibility to work with people from different cultures. Our employees – Cimcorpers – are the heart of our company.

Coming back also provided him with a great opportunity to take a step in his career towards a role that guides and supports others in developing well-respected technology in an even better direction.

Cimcorp’s greatest asset is its people, and the cooperation between these individuals. Despite the somewhat challenging times and growth, I would like to emphasize the importance of this interaction to my own work.

In the future, Antti aims to guide and support the development of more commercial software products.
