Cimcorp’s unique Dream Factory solution fits both new (Greenfield) and existing (Brownfield) tire manufacturing facilities. Dream Factory optimizes material and data flow from raw material storage to the finished tire loading dock. In Dream Factory, production capacity is increased through 100 percent availability of raw materials, compounds, components, green tires and finished tires at all process machines. As a result, sites can have smaller buffer stores and reduced work in process (WIP).
This unique solution can be applied to Greenfield as well as Brownfield plants. Cimcorp sales manager, Esa Valtonen, explains:
“By developing modular automation solutions and automating new factories, we have recognized that we can take those same modules and apply them in existing Brownfield factories to solve their material handling problems.”
Dream Factory solution uses robot technology for handling and buffer storing, integrated with warehousing and material handling systems, to create a single, end-to-end solution. Intelligent software provides total control of the material and process flow with real-time data for production and inventory management.
The entire material flow is controlled by the Cimcorp Warehouse Control System (WCS). Cimcorp’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) collects and traces production data so individual tires have complete traceability through the whole process.
