Cimcorp, integrator of turnkey robotic handling solutions, and Mercadona, one of Spain’s leading grocery retailers, have celebrated the successful go-live of a third large logistics center featuring Cimcorp automation. Following the start of operations in both Zaragoza and San Isidro in 2021, and the strategic Parc Sagunt went live on the first week of May 2022 and is now ramping up to total capacity in a controlled manner.

The announcement is part of a long partnership of co-innovation between Mercadona and Cimcorp. From field to store within 24 hours

Cimcorp’s solution enables automatic handling of order picking, labeling, and allocating orders in different temperature zones, all managed by sophisticated and integrated software to streamline processes. The solution reduced all order processing lead times from 3 days to 2 days, meaning shoppers can now get their produce fresh from the local fields to Mercadona in stores within 24 hours.
