Cimcorp is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead our Software Design department as a Software Development Manager.
Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for leading and managing high performance software team members. Your experience will empower your team to ensure that our people, processes and technologies are optimal and are always seeking opportunities of continual integration and improvements to deliver world class software on-time and of the highest quality. You will have significant experience managing remote and distributed teams across wide time zones and geographies. The ideal individual will coach, mentor, delegate and foster a culture of collaboration and consensus building around all software engineering activities and deliverables.
In addition, this position is responsible to:
Manage and oversee the project and development schedules by creating technical work breakdown structures and task dependencies.
Track status, delivery schedules and quality and provide regular updates to management and project team leads of deliverables.
Retain ownership of backlog planning, process control, development, testing, quality assurance, release management, maintenance and evaluation.
Establish a culture and work environment that attracts, retains and motivates the highest calibre of skilled technology professionals.
Make recommendations to Senior Management with regards to evolving the organizational structure to meet business needs .
Act as the technical liaison for product development activities.
Help establish and enhance development policies, procedures, and standards and enforce their implementation upon the team of developers.
Provide professional development to the team, with a focus on quality driven development capabilities and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
BS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Minimum 10 working years in software engineering, 5 of those in management.
Ability to develop software in mySQL, php, Java, .Net or other selected languages. Expertise in development languages including: C#, VB.Net, ASP.NET MVC, Java, HTML, CSS, XML
Experience working in a Linux environment.
Experience working in a Windows environment.
Expertise in win32, C, C++, VC++ on windows, .Net, UNIX and LINUX; cross platform development
Expertise in UNIX/LINUX scripting and integration
Expertise in JAVA, Python, web and mobile technologies, web services, REST and SOAP
Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.
Software development process expert in applicable methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
Excellent communication skills both written/oral; excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Proven leadership skills and handling difficult conversations
Ability to manage and influence large cross-functional teams on complex projects
Ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise new project team leads across the disciplines within your purview, and influence team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Solution architecture and delivery experience with Storage, Backup and Recovery, and Networking would also be an asset
